Born and raised in Ohio, Jason Robert Hill spent more than 25 years in Los Angeles, California, where he nurtured and supported both his daughter and his young nephew.

Departing from the business world, he chose to follow his genuine life's purpose—to provide young, disheartened children with the same unwavering commitment and guidance he received from numerous mentors throughout his journey.

Jason is dedicated to offering unconditional support and direction to young men facing bleak prospects and navigating life without paternal guidance, aiming to help them cultivate happiness and balance as they grow into adulthood.

“I may not be a doctor or a lawyer, but I got a PhD in not quitting.
Sometimes when we don’t know what to do, but don’t ever quit on yourself, ever.
You are the algorithm.”

Young Warriors started with just one boy. He was age nine at the time, and his name was Wonder. His story is all too common. He was a great kid with a lot of potential who was facing his young life and formative years without his father or any other consistent stable and principled male role model. He needed positive men to support him in his journey to become a man.

Having mentored Wonder and watched him grow into a strong, confident, and happy now 26-year-old young man. Jason realized the impact he could have. He wanted to share this gift with as many boys as possible. After several meetings with community leaders, Young Warriors became a reality in 2010. It started with a small group of boys and single moms in their local community. The program was immediately successful, and before they knew it, they had single mothers coming from several hours away to participate.

At first, Jason ran the program on his personal savings and salary; however, the program grew so quickly that it became difficult to finance and manage. He soon realized that it would require a full-time focus and dedication. He took the leap, resigned from his sales position, and invested the remainder of his personal savings to help these at-risk and fatherless boys.

Jason made this decision based on his spiritual beliefs and his passion for ensuring there was a place in their local community where fatherless boys could be mentored. He wanted as many boys as possible to hear the message that they are important, they have value, and there are men they can trust.

Alongside running Young Warriors, Jason now shares his unique story and hard-won wisdom in dynamic presentations for young people and their parents and educators. He is also putting the finishing touches to his first book, Becoming a Warrior.
